You walk through the medina and get lost. Narrow alleyways leading to the next magical, dusty bazaar, filled with leather goods, vintage rugs and silver rings aplenty. As you slowly meander up and out of Tangier’s winding medina, suddendly the sea is visible, and you feel open to the world. A small sign lit in the bright sunlight, reading “Le Salon Bleu” tempts you inside.
A cafe and restaurant decorated in the calming combination of blue and white, Le Salon Bleu is a perfect example of Mediterranean and Moroccan influences weaving through both the decor and the food
The rooftop terrace has a seemingly neverending view of the blue sea , set off perfectly by the stark white buildings and ornate shapes of the surrounding views. Order a refreshing mint tea, or a lemonade that is truly full of lemons (you may need extra sugar if you’re not a sour fiend like us!) and enjoy the aromatic Moroccan mezze. Sink into the cotton pillows, and come into the bleu with us.
